LLC planning on using a DBA?
My cousin and I are pilots of a piece of 135 air taxi operations in Alaska. Recently bought the company, an LLC, and is planning on the list and keep the name DBA LLC (which is the name of the aircraft at present) the same. Is it necessary to notify the FAA and we have our operating certificate amended to reflect the DEA? Or simply register with the DBA state and obtain a business license updated and start using the (name DBA in our team, promote the DEA, etc. ..), while our operating certificate was only the LLC name? It would also be easier change the name of our LLC, and what it takes? Any help would be great, (I have 24 years, inexperienced in business). We're both learning as we go. Thank you! Maybe you should put that in business and finance. I do not think, rules of the FAA is his biggest problem. Maybe some business classes would have been more prudent, or should be in the near future.
